ChopMusic

Chop has been a passionate follower of rock and metal for longer than is fashionable to admit, and is also writing for PowerPlay magazine (keep an eye out for "Chris Van Souwe"), and also for Midlands Rocks. Favourite genres are thrash, doom, death, prog, and hardcore. This site is aimed at giving a fair and unbiased view of both live and studio performances.

Review of 2009: They say the years pass more quickly as you get older, but surely twelve months shouldn't disappear at such an alarming rate of knots? Busy old year again... 70 gigs, 304 different bands, 6 festivals... so here's my round up of the very best of the year.
