has been a passionate follower of rock and metal for longer than
is fashionable to admit, and is also writing for PowerPlay
magazine (keep an eye out for "Chris Van Souwe").
Favourite genres are thrash, doom, death, prog, and hardcore.
This site is aimed at giving a fair and unbiased view of both
live and studio performances.

Well it's been quite a year. First festival for 20 years,
reviewing for Powerplay, and first steps into gig promotion

- Predictions/hopes for 2009
I never thought I'd see the day when
I was writing about black metal in glowing terms! However
the symphonic and avant-garde bands have really impressed
me, and I can see this continuing throughout 2009. Vreid's
new album is astonishing, as is Exmortem's, and Dimmu Borgir
are touring in February. Should be a great year.
